Anyway... proudly owning the 2011 Command bag (as neatly as the original Commute, the Timbuk2 Commute 2.0, and Timbuk2 D-Lux messenger), I was going to move up this bag, on account of my collection, I used to be most disenchanted with my Command.
Well, the complete factor I disliked about ultimate year's Command has been addressed this year, and it's now a favorite of mine. The laptop sleeve has been redesigned to in fact give professionaltection to a pc now, and the addition of the pill sleeve is sensible.
The weird and wonderful piecemeal interior holders were changed via a helpful stitched-in pocket with extra pockets, pouches, and hangers. And ultimately, the strap has been replaced with infinitely more purposeful clasps. And from the very beginning, I was in love with the velcro quilts (as in: duvets that prevent the flap from... uh... "Velcroing" to the bag) on the skin, and maintain-dry velcro on the within. This is the bag Timbuk2 will must had been promoting last year.
Unless you love the long-lasting Timbuk2 Messenger look, or favor the short plastic snap-tabs to the metallic hook-and-loop, there is truly no reason to choose the D-Lux over the Command.

Seriously, I love this bag a lot, it can be changed my work bag full-time, and I've ordered yet another for my "not-work" computer.
One thing I need to level out: a few weeks ago, I picked up the Timbuk2 Deluxe Messenger Bag Strap Pad, and it's heaven. It's SO a lot better than the will need toer pad that embraces the Command (or any other Timbuk2 bag), you completely owe it to yourself to choose it up.

I am rough on my luggage. My place of business is at an influence plant, and I commute repeatedly. I put numerous abuse on my bags. I have worn out many, many, computer bags, computer cases, and backpacks dragging them round with me to the entirese locations. I had the prospect to check out this bag out and I must say I am provokeed. It is thick and heavy, sturdy stitched, comfy, and roomy. This thing is nice.
Starting with the pc pocket, sure it folds out so it's going to supposedly be TSA criminal to place during the x-ray scanner at the airport, but tell that to the TSA person who's yelling so that you can take it out. It may just meet their guiding principles, however simply take it out anyway or you'll argue away any time you tried to retailer. The pocket is padded well and simple to get admission to without needing to open your entire bag up. Nice steady zipper. Even has a smaller padded pocket within that one to completely cling my iPad. Nice touch!
The remainder of the bag is excellent too. Nice little pockets for extraordinarys-n-ends, and water bottle grasper on the side. The interior is roomy, more so than it seems by having a seem to be. Once you begin striking things in, it simply preserves filling, its just like the clown car of messenger luggage. Best section, after I crammed method too much in there, it used to be still relaxed to automobilery.
I specifically just like the buckles for the flap. Not sure if 'buckle' is the best word, however whatever you name them, I just like them. Im bored with breaking buckles or snaps, or the plastic clips. The 'c-ring' type buckle is fast, easy, and steady. Its a small thing, but the small things are what separate good enough items from nice ones. The straps and everything else are just proper, at ease and straightforward to regulate.
Overall, this is simply one heck of a neatly designed and smartly althought out bag. My opinion of that is that it seems to be designed by means of a USER, as a substitute of some dressmaker somewhere looking to make what he thinks anyone would wish. This screams that someone who in actuality makes use of these baggage designed it, which from the data I read seems to be how this company started out.

I'm arduous to galvanize. I've gone via many, many messenger/computer baggage over the years. This bag is a winner! First, it is TSA compliant via a novel computer/iPad/netbook padded zippered compartment which opens up permitting the computer to put flat on the belt or in the usual TSA plastic container. This padded laptop compartment can hold each a computer and iPad/Tablet/netbook in separate padded houses. This is along with a large major compartment for books, papers, and so forth. Second, this bag has extra cubicles, both zippered and unzippered than I've ever seen in a Messenger Bag. There are nooks and crannies for papers, pencils, smartphones, and all method of gadgets. These are neatly positioned and easy to succeed in. There are numerous outside cubicles, zippered and no longer zippered, for stuff you need to get to quickly without opening the bag.
Overall bag building could be very heavy responsibility and it appears good. Mine is a grey/black color with some reflective patches on the entrance. It's trendy without looking gaudy or geekish. It's moderately gentle weight for its dimension. It's oxford nylon material with a waterproof liner. The shoulder strap is neatly padded and adjustable for nearly any automotiverying position from shoulder to waist. The shoulder strap adjuster is a CAM buckle association which makes for quick and straightforward length adjustment. I adjusted the bag so it trips on my waist. The contour and match is ideal.
This will likely now be my primary bag for carrying my pc, iPad, smartphone and guides. This bag is reasonably large although Timbuk2 says it's a "Medium". I'd hate to see the massive size. Medium is more than big enough to automotivery a days' price of stuff without weighing a ton. I extremely suggest this well-made messenger bag.
